The “Printable Electronics Research Centre (PERC)” of Suzhou Institute of Nanotech, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is the first of such a centre in China, which has its main focus on scientific research and technology development in printed electronics. The Centre was setup by Professor Zheng Cui who returned to China in October 2009 after his long career abroad. He was recruited by the Chinese government under the “Thousand Talents” scheme. Since its establishment, the Centre has built up a multidisciplinary research team with 14 members and a 200m2 facility with 4 laboratories, including a class 1000 cleanroom for printing...
